What a long day... Makes for a tired evening.

It's Saturday

And it is some cold out. It rained most of the day, so I spent part of the afternoon making some new websets for Christine I had a blast making them. 6 in total. I haven't been doing any pixel painting the last few days. I'm going to have to see what tut's are out there now. I always get so excited when I see new ones.

Well I made home made chinese food tonight, fried rice, egg rolls and beef pepper steak. It was pretty good. In a little bit Mike and I are going to watch X-Men 2. So that means it's time to get the popcorn pot out. None of that nuked stuff here. My poor Cali Rosie Cat is half in heat and half out. It's kinda funny to watch her curl up on Mike sometimes I swear that she's trying to get as close as she can to him. She rubs her head on his beard. It's a hoot to watch.

Well I was talking to my little sister today. Her and the boys were going to come over for a bit. But they started to act up in the car so she decided to take them home and decorate and make some cookies. On a rainy day, they always get cabin fever. They just need to be outside.

I called mom and talked to her for a bit. She was just waiting for my sister to get home with the kids so they could start. I think that it's too early to put up decorations.... I mean really a month of it is a bit to much. Even 3 weeks {oh yeah mom is getting my tree next Sunday} is a bit much. But it looks like it will be at my house for 3 weeks. I'll just have to live with it I guess. I was going to do Christmas Dinner here for Mike and I but I couldn't get out of going to mom & dad's. Just another one of those things that I will have to live with I guess. But I will be doing our dinner at home next year, that's for sure.

Well I've been watching Day's of Our Lives for years now and I can't belive the story line that they have going on right now with all the killings. I read on a board that the killing of Cassie {who ended up in the pinata} will be the last one until after Christmas. The next one to go will be Roman { around New Years } than in Jan. Tony will be going and that is when we will finally find out who the killer is. I'm really stumped on this one. I can't belive that they have killed off so many regulars. I also watch that one Passions... now I can't belive that they took off Another World for that one. It's so stupid that you can't help watching it. Even my brother watches it. And he's never been into soaps, he agrees that it's so stupid that you have to watch. Pretty sad I think lol... but I will keep watching.

It's Friday.... wooo hooo the weekend

And of course it's raining again. Wouldn't you know it I have to do some errands today {have to take the bus} and it's raining. I swear it only rains on the weekend and it's cold to boot. I'm really not looking forward to going out to the mall today, with it being the end of the month your have all the old age pensions out which makes it really busy at the mall. I have a big problem with crowds especially at this time of year. It seems that every one is cranky and on top of each other. When we went out last weekend, I kept getting people walking into me. They didn't even say sorry, they shot me a dirty look as if I had don't something. Well we didn't stay out that long I can tell you that.

I have been finding that people are getting more and more rude. What happened to good old fashion manners? When ever I have to walk in front of some one I always say excuse me... but it seems as though that has gone to the way side for alot of people and I don't even mean young people, there are alot of older people who too never say excuse me. I guess that it was the way that I was raised... but I truly belive that manners really need to come back into vogue.

Well the great tree debate is still going on... Mom want's to buy us one for Christmas from the U-Cut tree lot. I don't want her too because we can get one ourselves down the street from the apartment and it would be alot easier and less hassle that way. Every year mom goes over board with Christmas, this year it's worse because of all that happened at the beginning of the year with her almost dieing. I don't want her to spend that much on Mike and me, I know that she can't afford it. But does she listen to me... No. I guess it makes her feel good being able to do such things. But I would rather see her spend the money and her and dad. SO the tree debate will rage for a few more day's or until we go and buy one and put it up!

Friday Five

1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not?
Of couse I like to shop, just checking out all that is new can really brighten up my day.

2. What was the last thing you purchased?
The last thing that I purchased was some Christmas gifts.

3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why?
I prefer to shop at an actual store, there is just something about being able to check out the quality of the item before you decide to take it home.

4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it?
I didn't get an allowance as a child, I made all my spending money by babysitting.

5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing?
It would have to be the black velvet dress I bought for a party, it seems that everything is attracted to it. Before I even left the house I was covered in cat hair.

Well that's it for now

This was sent to me in an email... I don't know who wrote it but it touched my heart to no end...

Get out your Kleenex before reading this...

A good reminder: take time to appreciate what you have now.

On the last day before Christmas, I hurried to go to the supermarket to buy the gifts I didn't manage to buy earlier. When I saw all the people there, I started to complain to myself: 'It is going to take forever here and I still have so many other places to go...' Christmas really is getting more and more annoying every year.

How I wish I could just lie down, go to sleep and only wake up after it was over. I started to curse the prices, wondering if kids really play with such expensive toys. While looking in the toy section, I noticed a small boy of about 5 years old pressing a doll against his chest. He kept on touching the hair of the doll and looked so sad. I wondered who this doll was for. Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: 'Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?' The old lady replied: 'You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.' Then she asked him to stay here for 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand. Finally, I started to walk towards him and asked who he wanted to give this doll to. 'It is the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for this Christmas. She was so sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.' I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus will bring it to her, after al l, and not to worry. But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can not bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mother so that she can give it to her when she goes there.' His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy say that Mummy will also go to see God very soon, so I thought that she could bring the doll with her to give it to my sister'. My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mummy not to go yet. I asked him to wait until I come back from the supermarket'Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me: 'I also want mummy to take this photo with her so that she will not forget me.' 'I love my mummy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and took a few bills and said to the boy. What if we checked again, just in case if u have enough money?' 'Ok' he said. 'I hope that I have enough.' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll, and even some spare money. The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money' then he looked at me and added: 'I asked yesterday before I slept for God to make sure I have enough money to buy this doll so that mummy can give it to my sister. He heard me' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mummy, but I didn't dare to ask God too much. But He gave me enough t o buy the doll and the white rose.' 'You know, my mummy loves white roses. A few minutes later, the old lady came again and I left with my trolley. I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local newspaper article 2 days ago, which mentioned of a drunk man in a truck who hit a car where there was one young lady and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-assisting machine, because the young lady would not be able to get out of the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy in mind, I read in the newspaper that the young lady had passed away.I couldn't stop myself and went to buy a bunch of white roses and I went to the mortuary where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wish before burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place crying, feeling that my life had been changed forever. The love that this little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to that day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk man had taken all this away from him.

Now you have 2 choices:

1) Send this message to everybody that you know.

2) Or delete it and do as if it never touched your heart.

If you send this message, maybe you will help prevent someone drunk to go driving.

FRIENDS ARE LIKE ANGELS, WHO HELP US FLY WHEN OUR WINGS HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO.

My Cat think's she the Queen!

Oh Goodie she's at it again...

Yup the Queen Kitty is trying to drive me batty, yesterday she had me up and at 'em at 7:00 am and today she had me up at 6:00 am... she keep's it up and I won't be sleeping at all come the weekend. I'm not sure what is wrong with her but she is being very vocal the last 3 days.

Well I went out shopping with mom yesterday and we got to talking about Christmas trees. Well she's gifting us with our tree, fresh from the tree lot where you cut them down yourself. The thing is she's getting it next weekend (Dec 7th ) I think that it's to early and that the Queen Kitty will have me driven so bonkers with it by Christmas I will have it down on Boxing Day!

I guess that I'm going to have to get down to the storage locker today and dig out all the Christmas gear.... now that should be fun LOL... I think that all of my light's are in with the fake tree... but I'm not to sure.

What a long day... Makes for a tired evening.

My cat's gone bonkers...

Yup she's officially gone nutz. Or is it she's driving me that way. The little bugger had me up and out of bed at 6:45 this morning, why? beats me. Once I got up, put her food out and stumbled around the apartment for a bit the little beast went and crawled in the middle of my bed and fell asleep. When I tried to get back in with her she went and hissed at me, which is very strange for her.

The rest of the day she spend being very vocal, she would either be cooing like a pigeon. That's annoying enough, but she figured out how to make this noise that sort of sound's like a cry so I would pick her up, cuddle her and she would settle down play for a bit and than start it all up again in less than 30 minutes. I can't belive that something so small can drive me so batty.

Than tonight the little princess comes into the computer room, gets up on the desk and knocks over her glass of water, yes I said glass lol. She will not drink water from her dish and when she does drink it, it must be icey cold and from the brita water jug.... or she won't touch it.

Me think's she a bit spoiled... oh I'm so NOT looking forward to putting up a Christmas tree this year... I know what's going to be sitting on top of it and it won't be my Angel I can tell you that much.

I must go and check the little monster....

Welcome... help yourself to a cuppa coffee or tea.. and maybe one of our brownbear brownies as well ;)

Well I'm either really Late posting on Sunday or Really Early on Monday...

I did change the site around a bit today, I think I'm happy with the lay out for now. More than likely that will change. I did learn a very important lesson on Saturday night... well a couple of them actually. Number 1: DO NOT EAT SPICY FOOD... before going to bed. I was up a couple of times through the night. Number 2: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR WINDOW OPEN IN THE FALL. That would seem like something I would remember but I was so dang tired I forgot and ended up freezing & waking up miserable in the morning. Waking up a couple of times didn't help the situation either. I think that I have the beginning of the flu coming on, which I shouldn't because I did have the flu shot. The Doctor said that it only works for the 3 most common forms of the flu.

Well I should get these old bones off to bed. Maybe I will read a bit, I did get 4 new novels yesterday.

Welcome... help yourself to a cuppa coffee or tea.. and maybe one of our brownbear brownies as well ;)
It's Thursday..

And you know what that means.... it's raining again. I swear to Pete that it only rains on Thursdays. LOL. It's a cold rain today and very dreary out. I did have time to redo the lay out of the site. With the code from Buttercup Graphix. I did change it a bit to suit my needs here.

Well tonight is a new ER, it looks like it's going to be a good one. Oh yes it's Survivor night to. Right now I'm taping my soaps, I would rather watch them on tape that way I don't have to watch the commericals... I hate them LOL.

Since my little lovely Cali Rose decided to kick up her litter, it looks like I'm going to have to get out my broom again. The little bugger can not stand it when the apartment is clean. I also have to get out my knitting again and make her another blanket, she loves to claw at them befoe she falls asleep. So her old one has alot of holes in it. I don't mind, I really like to knit. It helps to keep me busy in the cold evenings.

Well that's it for now, I soon have to start making supper for Mike.

It's Wednesday...

Oh what did I get done today, well a few things. I managed to get the apartment cleaned {it wasn't that bad} but where Mike works back shift it doesnt leave me alot of time in the mornings to get things finished before he has to lay down. So that means if I want to do any heavy cleaning, like I have to do before the holiday rush. I have to do it before he gets home in the morning. So that said I did.

It was almost a nice day, if you don't count the cold. Brrrrrr winter is coming. To fast if you ask me, seems like it gets cold the end of October until the first of June around here. Half of the year you spend with freezing feet. That reminds me I should put slippers on my Christmas list this year. Hee hee.

We are still debating on wether or not we will be going to my parents for Christmas dinner this year or just having a quiet day at home. Everyone else has children, 9, 7, 6 & 4 all boys and they are into everything... well they are boys and I love them all to pieces. But it's a hard time of year for me, I lost my child on the 19th of December 2001. Seems like a long time ago until the day comes and it tears me apart all over again. It's something that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Which is another reason why I won't mind staying at home.

I haven't done any pixels today, I did how ever work on a site to show case my Liddle Blessing that I have adopted { you can find them under adopted pals } I think that they are just precious.

Well that's it for now.

It's Monday... and I think that Old Man Winter has stopped by for a visit.

Ugggh.... it's freezing here today. It went to minus 3 overnight. We did have some snow flurries on Saturday, and the wind was wicked. So we stayed home and did NOT stand out in the cold to see the parade. I couldn't handle it. So instead I made home made spagetti on Saturday night... with the left over sauce it was mac & cheese my crazy way on Sunday. LOL.

Tonight I'm going to make a blackforest ham supper, with the brownsugar glaze. Mike asked for it yesterday so I have the stuff ready to go.

I did have some time yesterday to do some pixeling.

I can't belive that Christmas is only 6 weeks away. I love Christmas, but sometimes I have to get my self in the mood to get the decorating done. This year were going to the tree lot to cut us down a tree... that is if they didn't lose them all because of the hurricane that we had at the end of September. If that happens I will just take the fake one out of the storage locker down stairs. But I would really like a real tree this year.

My tree is pretty much like everyone else's with the exception that I tend to stick to an Angel theme. I have white bead and no tinsel on my tree {because of Cali Rose I don't want her eating it } This year I think that I'm going to put a touch of gold on the tree, maybe in the form of ribbon's or something I'm not that sure yet.

I do have to get some things made, I have picked up some different ornaments at the dollar stores around here. I'm not so sure what I'm going to make with them yet though, I will just have to get everything out and see what I have.

Since there were no new birth's or new mates in the family this year I won't be making the personal ball's that I make for everyone. This is the first year in like forever that I haven't made one. Well actually 2, I make one for my mom's tree and one for the person's home tree as well. Name & Birthday if they are a new baby. It's a silly little tradition, but it's our silly one LOL.

I wonder how many family traditions get lost over the years. Some times it's the silliest of things. Like back in 1985, my parents went all out for Christmas. Mom even video taped it, I know that sounds like not a big thing now but back then wow it was unheard of. I remember the recorder it was HUGE lol. That year we had so much stuff, it filled under the tree and the entire living room. I have never seen anything like it, and will never again but it was something that my mom wanted to do for us. She had won a bunch of money one night in November at Bingo and she went nuts. You see my mom's parents divorced when she was only a baby and mom was bounced around, spending most of her time at my Great Gran's who was more of a mother to her than anyone.

Well that was the year the tradition of Bonking my baby sister on top of the head began. Yes really, my middle sister was passing a sled to our little brother { all wrapped up mind you } it slipped and bang right on top the little sister's head. Well ever since 1985, one of us ends up getting bonked on the head by something or someone. It always happens and we all end up laughing and remembering. Maybe it had alway's happened even before the great Christmas of '85. It's just that since that time we notice it and have the memory of it.. we will never forget.

Well that's enough for this novella.

Huggies to all who may read this book.
And have a day where you may make a great Memory.

WOOOO HOOO It's Friday!!

I'm so happy that this week is now over. I think that just by knowing that it's the weekend my stress level has dropped.. ALOT.

I'm still not felling 100% as of yet. I think that I still need a few more days to get there. I have started to do stuff will all of the pixel paintings that I have been doing. Today I did Lady In Black's Gingerbread House Tut. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

It is so cold here today I think that it's now at 3 degrees, I don't do well with the cold give me an nice summer day anytime. I'm waiting to see snow! I know that it's coming because we have been having alot of rain this week and with the temp so low it will be here sooner than we think.

Tomorrow evening is the parade of lights, it's the offical launch of the Christmas season. I think that we may go to it, if it's not too cold or raining {or that dreaded SNOW!}

Well that's it for now.

Happy Wednesday....

I haven't been feeling all that great the last couple of days. Yesterday I spent most of it asleep on the sofa. I guess that I'm just tired out, ALOT. That always seems to happen when I miss sleeping in my own bed for a night or two. Thats strange considering that I've always slept well at my parents but for some reaon on Sunday night, I couldn't get into a good sleep pattern. I kept having strange dreams as well.

Well I spent most of my day working on Pixel Paintings and I'm so pleased with how this one turned out. I made it into a new siggy for me... hee hee... I just need another one.

This one is made from 3 different tuts... Carla's Victorian Santa as well as her Christmas Tree Tut as well as Candy's Reindeer Tut

Well that is it for now. I will try to check in later.

It's Monday Evening now..

Oh what a long day, those two little guy's were quite a handful today. I think that they both have cabin fever. Mom and I took them out for a drive. We went to 3 different dollar store's with them and they both made out like little bandit's.

Dakota the youngest of the two had an accident this evening, he was spinning in circles in the living room and took a tumble. He hit his head on the entertainment unit and split it open. My sister and her hubby have him at the hospital right now. Looks like he will need some stiches and they will have to monitor him for a concussion. Poor little guy.

Well I'm beat to a crisp so I think that I'm heading off to bed.

Sunday Evening...

Well I did get to see the Lunar Eclipse last night it was very cool. I'm happy that it was not all that cloudy out, but it was freezing.

Well I had to change my Zonk Board to at Tag Board this evening, seems that you have to pay for it now and my trial period ended. I will have to think about paying for it before I go and do it.

Well I'm going to be spending the night at my parents tonight. My sister has to go to school tomorrow and both of her little guys are sick. One has the chicken pox and the other has in her words now a touch of pneumonia and broncitis. Poor little guys. So I'm going to have my handsfull tomorrow I can see it coming, not to mention that I have the start of a headache right now.

Well I managed to get the apartment cleaned up, that was a fun way to spend my Sunday I can tell you LOL.

Well that's it for now.
Until later.

Saturday, November 08, 2003

Well it's Saturday..

I haven't done that much at all today. I did make another bear graphic, go figure LOL. I am kinda hooked on them now.

I'm waiting for the lunar eclipse to start. It should be something to see. It's so cold out though so I'm going to watch from inside. Right now it's 5 degrees and very windy out. I think that it's even colder with the wind.

With it being Saturday night that means only one thing... time for Trading Spaces. I can't wait to see which one of the Brits from Changing Rooms is going to be on tonight. I'm so addicted to watching those how to shows. Last night it was House Rules, I feel so bad for those people the way that the judges rip apart all of the hard work that they do in one week. I know that there would be no way that I would be able to do the amount of work that they do.

Well that's it for now.

Yippeee it's FRIDAY...

Thank goodness that this week has now come to a close. By the looks of the weather were in for a cold weekend. It's freezing here already today. My little kitty is snug as a bug in the blanket that I made for her. She's a funny little beast sometimes. She's very set in her way's everyday she has to be able to have her afternoon nap in the chair that I have for her in the computer room. And heaven forbid if I don't go in there at the right time, she gets kinda cranky with me.

That's her in a nut shell LOL.

Well I have done another pixel painting this one was done with a tut from Christina's Site it took a bit to do I think 2 hours was the total time that I spent on this one yesterday.

I did another one this morning but I used a colouring book for the insperation for it.

I think that it turned out ok.

Well that's it for now.

Happy Tuesday...

Well so far it has been a great day... mind you it's freezing out right now someone said that we might get some snow. I really think that it is way to early for snow.

Well I had been saving up airmiles and I had no idea what to do with them. Lucky for me the grocery store decided to join up with them and you can get 20 dollars for 125 points so I cashed in some points and got 100 dollars worth of coupons. Well Mike and I went there this morning to pick up some things... total bill $80.14 which meant I only spent 14 cents. What a hoot. Plus you get air miles on your purchase. So I'm building them back up again.

Well tonight is the night of my job interview, I'm holding my breath and crossing my fingers. It's only for 6 weeks, but at least its something right? Well that's what I keep telling myself. Until something else comes along. Which reminds me I have to iron my pants soon.

Well I've been working on some more pixel paintings, sometimes I get so into them that the day just flys by. I just have to figure out what in the heck I'm going to do with all of these things that I keep making. LOL... I figure something out.

Well that's it for now.

Monday, November 03, 2003

Well it's Monday...

And it's freezing out today. We've reached a wonderful 2 degrees so far today and it's now twenty past two in the afternoon. The leaves have pretty much fallen off all the trees that were left standing from the hurricane. Soon Christmas will be upon us. It's just coming so fast.

Well I've changed the look to the site again, I'm happy with the way that it has turned out so far. But I know that I will end up changing it again. LOL.

Well I have a job interview tomorrow evening at 6:30, I'm crossing my fingers that I get it. It's just a kiosk in the mall that sells Christmas Baskets, the place is called Garden Accents. That was the good news that I got yesterday, I was just so happy when I got the call. I applied online to boot. Thank goodness it's not another one of those snotty clothing stores. I just can't handle working at them, guess I'm not Uppity enough LOL.

Well that's it for now I think. I have to figure out what I'm going to throw together for supper tonight.
